Singtel reprises Innov8 Connect programme for business startups
This is after its initial success in January.
In the hopes of spurring interest in creating innovative solutions for real world business challenges, Singtel's venture Arm, Innov8 commenced the second installment of Innov8 Connect Program.
According to Singtel Chief Technology Officer Tay Soo Meng, the program has started as a win-win platform to help startups develop viable business solutions.
"We hope to uncover more innovative answers for real emerging business challenges with start-ups in this latest installment of the programme,” Tay said.
The initial success of Innov8 Connect programme launched in January 2016 saw over 120 submissions from start-ups across 22 countries.
For this new round, 14 new businesses have been identified by Singtel and its Australian arm, Optus, in areas including Internet of Things, augmented reality solutions and artificial intelligence.
The group will be providing up to $75,000 to selected start-ups to test and validate the solutions with Singtel and Optus as proof-of-concepts.
Singtel noted that they will be accepting participants until the end of October.
