M1 partners with US-based VMWare for automation cloud software

Startups and SMEs will be able to access automation software for their workloads.

M1 and US-based firm VMWare Inc launched a cloud offering for startups and small to medium enterprises (SMEs).

According to a press release, M1 is offering its Software-Defined Data Centre (SDDC) portfolio, powered by the VMWare Cloud Provider programme with container support through Pivotal Container Service (PKS).

The new cloud offering allows access to production-grade automation system Kubernetes and natively-supported toolkits.

This can offer faster deployment of containerized workloads across private and public clouds, enabling digital startups to innovate quickly and go to market faster, while saving on investment in on-premises infrastructure, M1 said.
