Over 100 domains linked to piracy shut down

Illegal streaming sites raise scam risk by 3.5 times.

The High Court has ordered to block 26 illegal streaming sites and more than a hundred associated domains in Singapore.

The decision follows a similar order obtained by the Premier League last March to block sites used for illegal streaming.

Citing data from a recent study by Cyberstronomy, the Coalition Against Piracy (CAP) said there's a 48% chance that consumers will encounter cyber threats on the top 25 pirate sports streaming sites in Singapore.

CAP added that there is a 3.5 times greater chance of consumers being scammed when visiting these sites compared to when visiting mainstream sites.
