Singtel-backed Telkomsel transfers 6,000 telecom towers to Indonesia’s Miratel
Following the transfer, Miratel now has 16,050 units of telecom towers from the Singtel JV.
Singtel-backed company, Telkomsel has transferred an additional 6.000 telecommunication towers to PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi "Mitratel.”
Following the transfer of ownership, the total number of Telkomsel telecommunication towers now owned by Miratel has gone up to 16,050 units.
“With the agreement of the sale and purchase agreement for the transfer of ownership of 6,000 telecommunication towers to Mitratel, Telkomsel further strengthens the company's transformation efforts through the development of a company portfolio in the digital business that is more consistent, comprehensive and strengthens the company's commitment to providing more innovative services,” President Director of Telkomsel Hendri Mulya Syam said.
Telkomsel and Miratel had previously carried out ownership diversion of telecommunication towers in 2020 and 2021, with the former transferring 6,050 and 4,000 units to the latter, respectively.
Apart from acquiring telecom towers from Telkomsel, Miratel also agreed to deploy leading-edge Internet of Things (IoT) and Data Analytics services to the Singtel-linked company to provide real-time management of the towers and proactive optimization of power consumption.
