Singtel’s Thai subsidiary AIS wins court battle over revenue share dispute
National Telecom Public Company Limited was claiming an additional ฿16,252m in revenue share.
The dispute between Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS), Singtel’s subsidiary in Thailand, and National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) has concluded, favouring the former.
According to AIS, the Supreme Administrative Court of Thailand has dismissed NT’s appeal filed in December 2023 to overturn the arbitration award related to additional revenue share claims.
In 2018, NT filed a dispute against AIS with the Arbitral Tribunal, claiming an additional revenue share totalling 16,252 million baht, with a penalty interest rate of 1.25% per month.
The Arbitral Tribunal, however, rendered an award in favour of AIS in 2020. In 2023, NT petitioned the Central Administrative Court to revoke this arbitration award, but the court dismissed the petition.
