StarHub barely hurt by SingTel's 40 Fox International channels

It is focusing on its new TV Anywhere service.

Iris Wee, Vice President of Home Solutions & Content of Starhub, issued the following response to SingTel’s addition of 40 FIC channels to mio TV:

We had announced last year that our FIC partnership renewal was on a non-exclusive basis, so this doesn't come as a surprise to us. StarHub customers still enjoy a more comprehensive range of content from us, through a stable and reliable network that delivers a superior viewing experience.

While we continue to enrich our existing portfolio of over 180 channels, we are now very much focused in expanding our range of content to personal devices with our TV Anywhere service to give customers greater value for their subscription.

TV Anywhere allows viewers to catch their favourite TV channels, including FIC channels like FOX Movies Play and STAR Chinese Movies Play, on mobile devices such as laptops and tablets. This takes entertainment beyond the living room and empowers our customers with the choice to view the content they want, wherever and whenever they desire.
