Time for Gordon Gekko to ditch the Motorola as Kim Eng launches Android and Blackberry share trading app
Success of the stock brogerage’s iPhone app prompted it to launch on other platforms.
“The successful launch of our trading app for iPhone users last year showed us that investors want the convenience to buy and sell shares anytime and anywhere. To empower even more clients, it was necessary to launch apps for Android and BlackBerry smartphone users too, as these smartphones have a high market share in Singapore,” Executive Vice President for Retail Business at Kim Eng Securities, Mr. Jeffrey Goh said.
Clients who use the KE Trade Mobile only need to do three simple steps to trade stocks in local and foreign markets. First, select “Watchlist” to track your favorite stocks. Next, select ‘Quick Quotes’ to get the latest price. Then, ‘Buy’ or ‘Sell’ to trade the stock.
These apps can be downloaded for free in the Android Market (for Android) and m.ketrade.com.sg (for Blackberry). As a reward, Kim Eng clients have a chance to win gift vouchers and eight BlackBerry or HTC smartphone when they trade using the app.
“Kim Eng has always focused on product innovation and strategic investments in technology and people, so as to bring our clients the best products and services. This core commitment will not change,” Mr. Goh said.
