Wang Chengqun gave up his post to focus on his current commitments at Granpex Group.
The Board of Contel announced the resignation of Wang Chengqun as Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Wang, 47, was in charge of the overall strategy and day-to-day operations of the Group, according to a Contel report.
He was appointed to the post 06 April 2005.
