S I2I appoints Umang Das as Director

He is tagged for having innovated the new business model of passive infrastructure outsourcing and sharing.

The Board of S I2I announced the appointment of Umang Das as Director.

During the past 10 years, Mr Umang Das, 63, is credited for having innovated the new business model of passive infrastructure outsourcing and sharing. He moved to an entrepreneurial model of offering Active Infra Services by joining SREI-Quippo Group as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Quippo Infocom Ltd in May 2008. With the merger of Quippo Telecom with Wireless TT Info Services Limited (WTTIL of Tata Group), he became the President of the merged entity Viom Networks Ltd having over 40,000 towers across India and is the world's largest Independent Telecom Infra Company. He has recently taken over as Chief Mentor-Viom Networks Ltd, according to a S I2I report.
