COE premiums for large vehicles up in early April

They rose 1.6% to $37,605.

The prices of certificates of entitlement (COE) for nearly all vehicle categories fell in the first two weeks of April, except for large vehicles (above 1600cc or 97kW) and open category.

According to the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the COE premiums for large vehicles rose 1.6% from $37,010 two weeks ago to $37,605. Vehicles in the open category had their COE premiums inch up 0.01% from $38,000 to $38,039.

Meanwhile, the premiums for small cars (below 1600cc or 97kW) fell 2.63% from $38,000 two weeks ago to $37,000. The COE prices for goods vehicles and buses dipped 2.9% from $35,001 to $34,001. Motorcycle premiums fell the sharpest by 6.4% from $7,602 to $7,114.
