Electric car sharing programme launches in Singapore
30 stations and 120 charging points will be rolled out by year-end.
BlueSG Pte Ltd launched a large-scale Electric Vehicle (EV) car-sharing programme and said it is the first in Singapore.
According to a press release, there are two subscription plans for the BlueSG programme. One is a premium yearly membership plan priced at $15 per month, and the other is a weekly membership plan which does not require any recurring fee.
A total of 30 BlueSG stations offering 120 charging points will be rolled out island-wide by end of this year.
Of the 30 BlueSG stations, 18 are located in public housing estates including Tampines, Bishan and Punggol, whilst 10 stations are situated in the city centre and its fringes, and 2 others within the industrial and commercial estates at one-north and the Science Park.
BlueSG plans to have 1,000 electric cars in its fleet and 2,000 charging points by 2020.
