Go-Jek partners with Carousell in bid to lure more riders
New riders will receive $13 in vouchers when they download the app through ads on Carousell.
Singapore's latest ride-hailing entrant Go-Jek is stepping up efforts to lure new users onto its platform after forging a partnership with e-commercite site Carousell to reward the latter’s users who are new Go-Jek riders with $13 vouchers, an announcement revealed.
Carousell users who download the ride-hailing app via the ads available on its app or website will receive an additional $3 ride voucher on top of the usual two $5 vouchers offered to new riders.
“We look to partner with local brands that align with our mission of making the everyday lives of people better,” Go-Jek’s global head of transport Raditya Wibowo said in a statement. “As Singapore’s most well-known consumer-to-consumer marketplace, Carousell solves a pain point for consumers by making the exchange of goods and services more accessible.”
Go-Jek initially rolled out the beta phase of its services in Singapore in November 2018 wherein DBS and POSB customers were given priority access, before extending its services islandwide on 2 January.
Vouchers will be issued within 24 hours of installing the ride-hailing app and will be valid for 14 days, Go-Jek explained.
The promotion will run until March 6.
