Grab and Chubb launch in-app travel insurance purchases

The insurance product can be bought $2.50 a day for travel to any global destination.

Grab users will now be able to purchase insurance products through their app, after the firm partnered with insurance company Chubb to launch Travel Cover, according to an announcement.

Users who purchase Travel Cover are able to save their travel profiles on the Grab app. Additionally, Grab users will be rewarded with discounts for each repurchase of Travel Cover.

A new insurance tile will be added on the Grab app, allowing Singapore-based customers to purchase Travel Cover from just $2.50/day for travel to any destination globally.

The product is distributed by GrabInsure Insurance Agency, Grab Financial Group’s insurance platform.

Travel Cover will be rolled out to other Grab markets in Southeast Asia in the coming months.
