New Service 116 bus route to be unveiled 18 November

It will link Serangoon and Hougang.

In an LTA release, it was announced that from Sunday, 18 November 2012, a new bus route - Service 116 - will be launched to provide commuters with better connectivity between Serangoon Central and Hougang Central.

The new loop service will enhance connectivity for residents staying between these two housing estates, providing convenient access to key amenities such as the Hougang Polyclinic, Hougang 1, nex, schools, Serangoon and Hougang MRT stations and their town centres.

Operating daily from 5.45am to 11.30pm, Service 116 will operate at a frequency of 10 minutes during peak hours and serve Hougang Avenue 4, Avenue 9, Serangoon North Avenue 4, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 and Yio Chu Kang Road en route.

Service 116 is the third bus service this year to be the rolled out under the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP).
