ST Electronics won contract from MRT Corp

This S$31m deal is set to be completed in 2017.

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd, today announced that its electronics arm, Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited, has won a contract worth MYR78m (about S$31m) from the MRT Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) for a mass rapid transit (MRT) project in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

ST Electronics will provide Platform Screen Doors (PSD) Systems for 31 stations of its 51km Sungai Buloh - Kajang MRT Line. This will include the supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and warranty provision for the PSD system. Work on the project will begin immediately and is expected to be completed by July 2017.

This contract is not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated net tangible assets per share and earnings per share of ST Engineering for the current financial year.
