Tata's Jaguar Land Rover sales shoots 26% up in August
Almost 37,000 vehicles were sold.
Singapore-listed Tata Motors reported the galloping success of its wholly-owned subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover as it recorded its best ever August sales.
In a statement, Jaguar Land Rover said it has registered an increase of 26% in retail sales from last year to 36,926 vehicles.
"Jaguar Land Rover sold 372,978 vehicles in the first eight months of 2016, 24% up on the same period in the prior year," the company said.
Jaguar recorded a 104% increase in sales from the previous year, delivering 10,868 vehicles.
Land Rover, on the other hand, strengthened its position as a world leading manufacturer of all-terrain SUVs, with a robust August sales of 26,058 vehicles.
