1 in 5 private residential condos to have EV charging points by end 2024
There are 13,800 registered EV charging points islandwide to date.
One in five non-landed private residences will have electric vehicle (EV) charges by the end of 2024, according to the Land Transport Authority.
The deployment of EV chargers is supported by funds from LTA’s EV Common Charger Grant (ECCG). To date, LTA has co-funded more than 1,200 chargers. The ECCG will co-fund 50% of the cost components of 2,000 smart chargers, or until December 2025, whichever is earlier.
There are around 13,800 registered EV charging points islandwide. In particular, EV charging points have been installed in about half of all HDB carparks, or around 1,000 of such carparks.
LTA’s EV Common Charger Grant kickstarted the charger installation and will continue to co-fund 50% of 2,000 smart chargers until December 2025.
