Attention passengers! Waiting time for Grab rides up to 3 minutes only
Customers will pay $3 per five-minute waiting block.
Grab revised its grace waiting time from five minutes to three minutes for some of its ride-sharing services, which will take effect on 18 July 2022.
Posted on its official website, grace waiting time for JustGrab, GrabPet, GrabFamily, GrabCar, GrabCar Plus, and GrabShare will be up to three minutes and passengers will be charged $3 for every 5-minute waiting block.
For GrabCar Premium, the driver will charge $5 per five-minute waiting block if the passenger goes beyond the three-minute grace period.
Those who will book GrabCoach are entitled to a 10-minute grace period and beyond that, they will pay $10 per 10-minute waiting block.
"You will be automatically charged for the waiting fee if you have exceeded the grace period for waiting time," said Grab.

The ride-hailing app enforced the automated waiting fee policy on 8 January 2020, which allows drivers to add a waiting fee at the end of the ride when their passenger is late.
