CAAS proposes mandatory B-RID for unmanned aircraft by December 2025

The public can share their feedback on the proposal until 1 October.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) is proposing to require that unmanned aircraft (UA) be equipped with Broadcast Remote Identification (B-RID) by 1 December 2025.

Under the proposal, all UA weighing above 250g are to have B-RID, unless the operator of the aircraft has been granted an Operator Permit and is using the FlyItSafe mobile application during the permitted UA operation

UA operated indoors or in an enclosed environment are exempt from the proposed B-RID requirement.

The public can provide feedback on the CAAS proposal via the REACH website during the consultation period from 2 September to 1 October.
