
COE premiums close with mixed results in latest bidding exercise
Category C & D vehicle premiums dropped whilst the rest saw increases.
Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums closed with mixed results in the latest bidding exercise, an announcement revealed.
Category B vehicles, or those which are above 1600cc or 130bhp, once again saw the highest increase in premiums of $1,789, closing at $33,989 from $32,200 in the last bidding exercise.
Premiums for category A vehicles which are vehicles up to 1600cc and 130bhp closed at $26,170 which is an $250 increase from the last bidding exercise earlier in January. It also received the highest number of bids at 2,864.
Goods vehicles and buses under Category C however saw its premiums drop $772 to $26,230 from $27,002. Following the downward trend were motorcycle premiums under Category D which dropped to $2,889 from $3,610 in the last bidding exercise.
Open Category COEs which can be used for any vehicle type rose to $33,689 from $32,909, a difference of $780 from the last bidding exercise.
Overall, a total of 7,790 bids were received in the latest bidding exercise.
