
COE premiums close mostly higher in latest bidding exercise
Open category vehicles recorded the highest price increase by $1,357.
Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums closed mostly higher in the latest bidding exercise, an announcement revealed.
Premiums for Category A cars which are those up to 1600cc and 130bhp closed at $26,301, which is a $612 price increase from the last bidding exercise. It also received the highest number of bids at 2,261.
Meanwhile, premiums for Category B vehicles, or those above 1600cc or 130bhp, recorded a $894 increase from $34,509 to $35,403.
Goods vehicles and buses under Category C premiums closed at $26,914, an increase of $536 from the last bidding exercise in early February.
Motorcycle premiums under Category D closed at $3,689, down from the $3,709 recorded in the last exercise.
Open Category COEs which can be used for any vehicle type posted the largest price increase of $1,357, closing at $36,667 from $35,310.
Overall, a total of 6,445 bids were received in the latest bidding exercise.
