COE premiums see dip in January open bidding exercise
Category B vehicles saw the biggest decline with a 4% decrease.
January’s first open bidding exercise saw a decrease in the majority of the Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums, according to the results released by the Land Transport Authority.
Category B vehicles or those above 1,600 cubic capacity (CC) or 97 kilowatt-hours (KW), had a quota premium (QP) of $77,700, 4% down from December’s $80,989
Category A vehicles, or cars with up to 1600CC & 97KW, registered a QP of $57,999. When compared to the previous month’s $58,801, a 2% decline can be seen.
Also include in the bidding were Categories C for goods vehicles and buses); D for motorcycles; and E for open-all vehicles except motorcycles. These sectors recorded QPs of $42,200, $9,689, and $82,501, respectively.
Only Category D saw a marginal increase by 0.009%.
