
COE prices closed with mixed results in latest May exercise
Category A vehicles saw the highest premium increase of $3,505.
Certificate of entitlement (COE) premiums closed with mixed results in the latest bidding exercise in May, an announcement revealed.

Category A, or cars up to 1600cc and 130bhp, recorded the largest increase of $3,505 with premiums closing at $36,704. It also received the highest amount of bids at 1,988.
Premiums for Category B vehicles which are larger and more powerful edged up $10 from the last bidding exercise to $48,010. A total of 1,360 bids were also reported.
Meanwhile, open category COEs which can be used for any vehicle type increased $92 to $52,502.
Commercial vehicles and buses under Category C saw a $3,442 drop in premiums, declining to $28,559 from $32,001 in the last bidding exercise. Motorcycle COEs also dropped $100, closing at $3,352.
A total of 5,625 bids were received in the latest bidding exercise.
