COE prices ended lower for most vehicles in latest bidding exercise

Only cars up to 1600cc recorded growth.

Certificates of entitlement (COE) premiums for cars in category B, or those above 1600cc and 130bhp, came lower at $37,900 as compared to its previous tender of $39,700, according to data from the Land Transport Authority (LTA).

Prices for category C—or good vehicle & bus—also saw downward motion, ending at $23,704 from $24,502 previously. Motorcycle COE premiums went from $3,921 to $3,789.

The open category dipped as well with its COE premium at $38,889 from $40,889 in the previous tender.

Only category A, or cars up to 1600cc and 97kW, recorded growth in COE premium at $33,009 from $32,000.
