COE prices rise across the board in August’s first bidding exercise

A total of 3484 bids were received.

Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices rose across the board in August’s first bidding exercise, with the Open Category registering the biggest rise. A total of 3484 bids were received for the exercise, while only 1909 COEs were available.

Prices for Category A cars rose from $62,890 in July to $64,600 in August, representing a difference of $1710. Meanwhile, COE prices for Category B cars reached $68,689 a difference of $3,688 compared to prices in July.

COE costs for Category C cars rose to $54,009, a $1,999 increase from $52,010 in July. The smallest increase was registered for motorcycles (Category D), where COE prices rose to S$4,353, from S$4,252.

The biggest increase was posted in the Open Category (Category E), where COE prices rose by $3,999 to $69,001.
