
COE supply to fall by 17.7% for August-October
The quota will fall to 20,850 from 25,347 in May-July.
The supply of certificates of entitlement (COEs) for August-October will be reduced by 17.7% to 20,850 from 25,347 COEs in the May-July period, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said in a release. This translates to an average of 6,947 COEs monthly for all vehicles.

There will be 6,338 Category A COEs available in August-October, which translates to an average monthly quota of 2,112. Category A vehicles are cars up to 1600cc.
The COEs for Category B vehicles, which are those above 1600cc or maximum power output above 97kW, are at 6,251. This translates to 2,083 per month.
There will be 1,699 COEs for goods vehicles and buses under Category C, or 566 per month.
In Category D, which is for motorcycles, the COE quota will stand at 4,433 for the period, down from May-July’s 5,383. The average monthly quota is 1,477.
Meanwhile, the quota for open category vehicles is 2,129, with an average monthly quota of 709.
