ComfortDelGro to acquire GoBus operator for $17.52m
The acquisition will make the company the third largest inter-city coach operator in Ireland.
ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited will acquire Evobus and Coach Limited, the Irish operator of the GoBus coach service, for $17.52m (€12m).
As of 12 July, ComfortDelGro has already paid $6.424 m (€4.4m) of the $17.52m (€12m), whilst the €7.5 million ($10.95m) will be paid after the acquisition of GoBus’ fleet of 31 buses.
The fleet traverses three inter-city routers: the Galway-Dublin Express, the Cork-Dublin Express and the Galway-Ballina Express.

ComfortDelGro said it aims to fully acquire the fleet “at the end of a transitional services period of approximately one month.”
The balance of €100,000 (S$146,000), held in escrow, will be paid to Evobus upon expiry of a two-year period from 12 July, provided that there are no claims against Evobus during the said period.
Following the acquisition, ComfortDelGro will become the third largest inter-city coach operator in Ireland.
