ComfortDelGro hikes rental relief for cabbies

This followed measures restricting gatherings and closing bars and cinemas.

ComfortDelGro Taxi is extending daily rental relief for its cabbies by $10 on top of the current $36.50 until the end of April, according to a press release. This would translate to a total daily rental reduction of $46.50, inclusive of the $10 Government Special Relief Fund (SRF).

This follows the enhanced COVID-19 measures restricting gatherings of more than 10 people and requiring the closure of all bars, cinemas and entertainment outlets.

ComfortDelGro Taxi is also waiving taxi rental for hirers who have been given five-day medical leave.The company has already waived the rental for any of its hirers who have been placed under quarantine by the Ministry of Health or put on Leave of Absence/Stay Home Notice by the company.
