Consumers more satisfied with public transport despite service hiccups

Taxis, buses and trains got higher ratings.

Despite the unprecedented MRT breakdown which happened in July, customer satisfaction for land transport still increased in Q2 according to the Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore by the Institute of Service Excellence at the Singapore Management University.

Satisfaction with taxis rose by 4.3% to 65.9 points, while customer satisfaction with public buses rose 4.1% to 60.9 points.

The MRT sub-sector also saw higher scores across both operators, scoring an overall 62.0-points, a 3.7% increase over 2014.
