Ez-Link rolls out EZ-pay service
It’s the first card-less payment system for ERP in Singapore.
Gone are the days when motorists fret about passing ERP gantries without a stored-value card in their in-vehicle unit or with a card that is low in value, as EZ-Link Pte Ltd launched EZ-Pay, a post-paid card-less ERP payment system.
EZ-Pay works by charging ERP rates directly to the user’s credit card, ensuring there are always sufficient funds for every transaction.
For starters, the service is exclusive to Citibank cardholders but will also be available to cardholders of other banks in 2017.
According to EZ-Link, EZ-Pay requires no registration or subscription fee. It also has no transaction fees. Interested motorists need only to enrol their vehicle number and Citibank card details at www.ezlink.com.sg to have an EZ-Pay account, where ERP charges will be billed.
Users may also monitor their ERP transactions and monthly credit card statements when they login to their EZ-Pay account using their NRIC number and PIN, EZ-Link added.
“Besides giving a long-term solution to their woes of forgetting to top up or insert their stored-value cards into their IUs, EZ-Pay also gives motorists a peace of mind and the ability to track their ERP expenses conveniently – all at no extra costs,” said EZ-Link CEO Nicholas Lee.
“With EZ-Pay, motorists and business owners with fleet vehicles can better manage their ERP expenses, without the need for a physical stored-value card,” LTA Transportation and Road Operations Group Director Dr. Chin Kian Keong added.
