FedEx Express pioneers first EV delivery from Malaysia to Singapore

The EV travelled a distance of 406 kilometres to deliver the package.

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corporation, has executed the first-ever cross-border package delivery from Malaysia to Singapore with an electric vehicle (EV).

The journey spanned 406 kilometres from FedEx station in Shah Alam, Malaysia, to a FedEx facility at Changi Airport in Singapore.

The EV’s journey concluded with a single charge in Johor, Malaysia, demonstrating a reduction of tailpipe carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of approximately 100 kilograms.

FedEx will assess operational effectiveness for future cross-border operations through the insights gained from the trial journey.
