Latest bidding exercise closes with mixed COE prices

Category B cars posted the largest increase.

Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums were mixed at the close of the latest round of bidding exercises.

According to figures released by the Land Transport Authority, premiums for Category A cars, or those up to 1600cc and with horsepower not exceeding 130 bhp, climbed from $46,009 to $47,300.

Premiums for Category B cars, which are larger and more powerful, climbed from $47,000 to $49,602.

Meanwhile, premiums for Category C cars like buses and goods vehicles tumbled from $44,213 to $43,002.

Motorcycle COE premiums dipped marginally as well, slipping from $6,503 to $6,501.

For cars in the Open category, COE prices jumped from $47,510 to $49,501.

Overall, there were 7,203 bids received in this round for the 4,246 certificates available.
