LTA awards two civil contracts for CRL Phase 2 project
The contracts are worth $961m.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded civil contracts for the design and construction of two interchange stations under the Cross Island Line (CRL) Phase 2 project - King Albert Park and Clementi.
In a statement, the LTA said the design and construction of King Albert Park station was awarded to China Communications Construction Company Limited (Singapore Branch) at a contract value of around $447m.
The second contract for Clementi station, valued at around $514m, was awarded to China Communications Construction Company Limited (Singapore Branch) - Sinohydro Corporation Limited (Singapore Branch) Joint Ventures.
Construction works for the two stations are expected to start in Q1 2024 and passenger service for CRL Phase 2 is targeted to commence in 2032.
China Communications Construction Company Limited was involved in the construction of Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub, CRL Tampines North station, Jurong Region Line Boon Lay station, and Johor Bahru – Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link viaduct and tunnels.
Sinohydro Corporation constructed Napier station on the Thomson-East Coast Line and is involved in the ongoing construction of the CRL Pasir Ris East station.
