SBS Transit taps ENGIE to cut fleet’s environmental impact
The fleet comprises over 3,500 buses and nearly 80 MRT and LRT stations.
SBS Transit has tapped low-carbon energy and services provider ENGIE to help reduce the environmental impact of its fleet of over 3,500 buses and nearly 80 MRT and LRT stations.
ENGIE will green SBS Transit’s energy mix with on-site renewables. It will also leverage its digital solutions, such as the Smart Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Platform, to reduce the overall resource consumption of the transport company.
ENGIE’s Smart O&M platform will enable remote, real-time monitoring of assets and infrastructure, reducing system downtime and disruptions, improving maintenance, automating anomaly detection in equipment performance, and optimising energy performance tracking and notification and report workflows.
SBS Transit said its partnership with ENGIE aligns with Singapore’s National Agenda on Sustainable Development under the Green Plan 2030 and will contribute towards the country’s goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.
