SingPost named first logistics provider under new Alibaba delivery scheme

It will serve clients in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

Singapore Post will be the first logistics partner to participate in Alibaba’s new Merchant Delivery Scheme.

SingPost will team up with Alibaba.com, Alibaba’s global wholesale trade platform, to serve clients in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

Under the partnership, Alibaba.com members registered in Singapore, including both Verified Members and Gold Suppliers, can enjoy a discounton SingPost’s ‘Speedpost’ services and International Mail services for delivering their products to overseas buyers.

In addition, Thai and Malaysian Alibaba.com members, including both Verified Members and Gold Suppliers can obtain preferential rates when choosing the ‘Ezyparcel’ services of SingPost.

SingPost will also provide professional consultation on logistics, such as advice on warehousing options.

This deal follows the memorandum of understanding signed between Alibaba Group and SingPost in May 2014 to explore cooperation in the area of international e-commerce logistics.
