SingPost unveils revamped organisation structure in latest e-commerce push
Discover the Postman's four pillars of growth.
Singapore Post today revealed a new organisational structure as part of its drive to be a global e-commerce player.
It will now zoom in on four pillars of growth, namely e-commerce, postal, logistics and operations and corporate services.
"Our management team is now being organised to clearly focus on integrating various areas for greater shareholder value, accelerating the growth of the global eCommerce business, maintaining sustainability of the mail business despite the declining letter mail volumes, and expanding the Group’s logistics business and operations,” said SingPost Chairman Lim Ho Kee.
Effective starting December, Marcelo Wesseler will lead the group's online retail operations as the group's e-commerce CEO. He will be relocated to the USA to provide leadership for the e-commerce business in the market.
Meanwhile, Woo Keng Leong has been appointed CEO of Postal Services, which remains the backbone of e-commerce deliveries in Singapore. Goh Hui Ling has been appointed Deputy CEO of Internaitonal Mail and will be the key relationship manager with Alibaba.
Under logistics, group chief operating officer of SingPost and chief executive of Quantium Solutions Sascha Hower will oversee the integration of logistics acquisitions across the region.
Lastly, Mervyn Lim, Group CFO, is appointed Deputy Group CEO of Corporate Services. He will cover post-merger integration, investor relations, human resources, legal, corporate secretariat, and property development & management.
“The changes in the organisation structure help us to develop and deepen our management bench strength. It
sharpens our focus on the four pillars as we transform into a digital company,” said Wolfgang Baier, Group Chief Executive Officer of SingPost.
