SMRT dangles $3,000 cash rewards under employee referral scheme
It’s looking to fill 700 new positions.
SMRT staff can up to $3,000 in cash rewards through SMRT’s new referral scheme, according to a media release by the transport operator.
SMRT is looking to recruit around 700 new hires for its rail and bus businesses as the company gears up for growth, and has enlisted the assistance of its 9,000 staff. Many of the jobs are fresh positions intended to answer the anticipated demands for operations and maintenance.
Under the company’s enhanced Employee Referral Scheme, referrers will earn $1,500 for applicants successfully hired as rail supervisors, and $3,000 for those hired as engineers. Meanwhile, they can earn $1,600 for each permanent resident hired to be a bus captain or bus trainer.
Those hired as bus captains or bus trainers can also look forward to a sign-on bonus of $2,000 valid from 11 December 2015 to 1 April 2016.
