New fare collection equipment will also be installed, and will use the 5G network for faster fare transactions.
5G will also be used for the new bus transmitter system, and is expected to make data exchanges between buses and the backend systems faster.
The fare collection and fleet management application displays will als be combined into one screen.
New central junction boxes will also be installed on the buses to improve power and signal distribution.
