ST Engineering inks MOU with MSI Global to develop rail projects
The agreement focuses on fostering joint participation and collaboration in rail projects worldwide.
ST Engineering announced today that they have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MSI Global, a subsidiary of the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore.
The partnership aims to provide rail electronics solutions and services for rail projects overseas. ST Engineering will include its technical and domain expertise in advanced Smart Metro solutions, while MSI Global will provide its ticketing and payment systems software solutions. Both will also develop joint go-to-market activities in order to facilitate the growth of Singapore’s rail global footprint.
Before the agreement, ST Engineering had executed over 100 rail electronics projects in an estimated 48 cities worldwide, while MSI Global has implemented in the region of 154 overseas projects in at least 20 countries.
Chew Men Leong, President, Urban Solutions, ST Engineering, had said that this partnership was due to the opportunities that their expertise would bring to international markets.
