Tesla kicks off first mass-market electric SUV in Singapore
Model Y and Model Y Performance will begin delivery next month.
With the rising electric car registrations in Singapore, Tesla is set to launch its first mass-market sports utility electric vehicle (SUV), Model Y, in the market.
The first public showcase of the American car company's electric SUV Model Y will run from 13 July to 24 July in ION Orchard, L1 Atrium, 2 Orchard Turn, Singapore. The program will start from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Starting at $142,471 and $190,195, which includes all-electric vehicle incentives and exclusive of certificate of entitlement, both the Model Y(RWD) and Model Y Performance will be deployed in August 2022 in the Lion City.

Its Model Y, being a mid-size SUV, carries over 2,100-litre cargo space and can accommodate up to five passengers with their baggage. It can also speed up from 0 to 100 kilometres (km) per hour with a range of up to 514 km for only 3.7 seconds due to its ultra-responsive motors.
“Model Y comes with all-glass roof, autopilot, active safety features and HEPA air filtration system,” said Tesla in a press statement.
