Two things that will support ComfortDelGro's mid-term outlook
Promising segments are offsetting fears in the taxi business.
ComfortDelGro should not lose all its hopes as its overall outlook for next year and beyond could be buoyed by two things.
Whilst it bears the brunt of the flailing taxi business, the group will be supported by the significant revenue growth from the rail with the opening of Downtown Line 3 on 21 October.
"[This] serves more populated areas than the first two phases," analyst Eugene Chua said.
Additionally, the group will be backed by the continued growth in its Singapore bus as well as its UK bus segments. For the latter, certain routes will commence in the latter part of the year.
These offset the weak outlook in the taxi segment, which faces tough competition with private hire car services.
