Uber's Lion City Rentals unveils 1-week car rentals
It is rebranding its services to attract more types of drivers.
Amidst the rebranding of Lion City Rentals (LCR), the private-hire car rental business of Uber, it will introduce shorter rental terms and other rewards to attract new types of customers.
Four rental terms will be implemented: six months, three months, five weeks, and one week. If the hirer wishes to return the vehicle back to LCR, they must provide LCR with 7 days notice.
The company will start to offer other deals exclusive to their hire partners such as rental rebates for new-sign ups and a loyalty scheme for its top hire partners. It will also implement a ShareCar scheme and recall all Toyota Prius units.
Pascal Ly, general manager of LCR, said that they want to “restart their conversations with drivers” with these new campaigns.
LCR Driver Centres and Collection Sites are also getting a refresh of branded promotions. “We are looking into bringing back up the energy level into our own premises, which will provide even more positive energy to our hire partners,” Ly said.
The business will additionally provide a brand and a know-how from its team to take care of the cars and provide the tools to the hire partners.
“We are also improving the customer experience with even better support by revamping the entire customer journey, with faster, more seamless onboarding process — including improving marketplace efficiency,” Ly added.
