SBS Transit chairman to retire after 18 years
Lim Jit Poh has been the chairman of SBS Transit since 2003.
SBS Transit chairman Lim Jit Poh will be stepping down from his position after 18 years, the company announced.
Lim will officially retire following the company’s annual general meeting (AGM) on 29 April. He will remain as a senior adviser “to provide continuity to the group as it navigates a changing environment in a tightly regulated industry.”
The outgoing chairman mentioned that the time is right for him to hand over the reins to a new chairman who will lead the group through its next phase of growth.
“This is part of the renewal of the board which began four years ago. The board, as it stands now, is well balanced in terms of tenure, age and gender. The strength and expertise that is currently in place will be well placed to ensure that SBS Transit grows from strength to strength going forward,” Lim said.
Aside from Lim, two other SBS Transit officials are also set to retire after the AGM.
