Hyflux's debt moratorium extended to 28 February

They also confirmed their loss of confidence with their lawyers.

Embattled water treatment firm Hyflux has received approval from the High Court to extend its debt moratorium to 28 February, according to an SGX filing.

At the same time, the company confirmed that it has lost confidence and trust in WongPartnership LLP. This was in response to multiple media articles reporting that the law firm has applied to discharge itself from representing Hyflux on the case.

Hyflux applied for the moratorium on 16 January, whilst also filing applications for leave to convene meetings on whom the Hyflux have financial obligations. Last November, Hyflux stated that its debt moratorium extension was due on 31 January.

The next court hearing will be held on 20 February.
