SIIC Environment's net profit up 0.8% to $22.6m

Thanks to higher water treatment and supply sales volume.

SGX Mainboard-listed water treatment and environmental protection company SIIC Environment Holdings Ltd. recorded a slight increase in net profit for 3Q16, creeping up to 0.8% to $22.6m (RMB 110.1m).

The group said this is due to contribution from newly acquired entities as well as contribution from existing entities.

"There was substantial completion of projects, and higher water treatment and supply sales volume," the group noted.

For the nine-month period, the group's revenue recorded an 18.2% increase in revenue from RMB 1,292.7m last year to to RMB 1,514.2m. Its net profit, on the other hand, increased 18.2% to RMB284.7m.
