
Singtel hit by islandwide broadband outage on Wednesday morning
Singtel announced at 10:55 am that they have restored internet access for all users.
Singtel users experienced disruption in their internet access across Singapore around 9AM on Wednesday.
Frustrated subscribers took their rage online and demanded the firm to cover the cost of teh disruption. Based on their comments in Singtel's Facebook page, affected customers are from Ang Mo Kio, Bukit Panjang, Woodlands, Bedok, Sengkang, Toa Payoh, Clementi, Punggol and Tampines.
“Some customers may be experiencing difficulty accessing the internet,” the firm said in Facebook post. “Our engineers are investigating and we will provide updates as more information comes in. Thank you for your patience.”
At 10:55AM, Singtel announced that internet access for all their customers have been restored.
The Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) said in Twitter that they are aware of Singtel’s services “is progressively being restored”.
“We have begun investigations, and urge SingNet to keep its customers updated on its progress as it works to fully restore services,” IMDA said.
