Serial System appoints Teo Ser Luck as non-executive independent deputy chairman
He was appointed on 15 July 2017.
Mr Teo Ser Luck was elected Member of Parliament for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC in May 2006 and was appointed as Parliamentary Secretary. He was subsequently promoted to Minister of State, appointed as the Mayor of the North East District and chairman of the Mayors committee.
Mr Teo had been with Ministry of Trade and Industry overseeing the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) sector, consumer protection, entrepreneurship and trade relations with the region, including China.
He was formerly the co-chairman and vice chairman of Singapore-Shandong provincial bilateral business council and Singapore-Shandong provincial bilateral business council. He was also in the Ministry of Manpower where he oversaw industry development in productivity, Lean Enterprise Development implementation, foreign workers, rank and file workers and developing progressive workplaces.
Mr Teo has also been the political office holder in the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, where he was instrumental in leading Singapore's successful bid for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) and the Ministry of Transport where he helped develop the national cycling plan. After 11 years as a political office holder, Mr Teo returns to the private sector and continues as a Member of Parliament.
