Coworking space WOTSO to expand its 950-sq m hub
Space was restructured to accommodate larger office teams.
WOTSO Workspace, Australia’s largest provider of collaborative workspace hubs, opened its Singapore office in August 2016 at The Quadrant building, 19 Cecil Street.
It was already an existing coworking space called Springboard until it was rebranded to WOTSO. “We wanted our first overseas site to be a joint venture and benefit from ‘on-the-ground’ local management,” explained Stuart Brown, CEO of Wotso.
The space offers a mixture of open plan desks and private serviced offices over two floors with a rooftop and function area. “Our space design is driven by our head office in Sydney, and with 10 other coworking spaces under our belt we’ve learnt a lot along the way about what works and what doesn’t for this kind of space,” said Brown.
The space was reconfigured on the 5th Level to accommodate larger office teams and to give members on Level 4 and 5 an access to shared amenities like the kitchen and meeting rooms.
With business links between South East Asia and Australia, Brown mentioned that Singapore is a favourable place to expand WOTSO’s operations, either through full ownership or management arrangements like the current space.
“The startup and entrepreneurial system is so proactive in Singapore, there’s ample demand for coworking space,” Brown ended.
