BCA to help improve productivity among construction SMEs

An increasing number of SMEs have tapped on the Construction Productivity and Capability Fund to roll out productivity intiatives.

In a news release, the Building and Construction Authority announced that it will be focusing more attention on small and medium-sized construction companies in a bid to engage them and help them improve their productivity.

An increasing number of small- and medium-sized enterprises have tapped on the Construction Productivity and Capability Fund, forming two-thirds of those who received the grant in 2011.

The fund subsidises some of the cost of implementing productivity programmes.

BCA intends to reach out to SME construction companies in order to understand their challenges and opportunities for partnership.
