OKP Holdings, Chye Joo Construction bag $146.5m contract from PUB

To upgrade the Bukit Timah First Diversion Canal.

SGX-listed infrastructure and civil engineering company OKP Holdings Limited has bagged a $146.5m contract from the national water agency to upgrade the Bukit Timah First Diversion Canal.

The group will be working with its joint venture partner Chye Joo Construction widen and deepen the existing 1.3km canal.

Measures will be taken to minimise disruption to the public, such as by establishing noise barriers and using low-vibration machines.

Earth control measures will also be put in place to prevent silty water from flowing into the public drains.
